About the Opportunity:
The Human Resource Coordinator will provide administrative support to our HR Director through all phases of the employee life cycle (recruiting, hiring, onboarding, development and retention, and offboarding). Essential duties include:
- Recruiting
- Recruit for entry to mid-level open positions
- Schedule recruitment intake meetings for new job requisitions
- Post open requisitions on various job boards
- Conduct first round interviews by phone or Zoom
- Schedule additional interviews with hiring team
- Onboarding
- Initiate background checks and send offer letters
- Work with local team to prepare for employees’ first day
- Complete I9 verifications
- Schedule new hire orientations
- Workday (HRIS) Administration
- Complete administrative tasks and maintain accurate data
- Submit job change requests, compensation requests, and terminations, etc. and ensure approval process completed
- Run various reports (i.e. PTO balances; employee rosters; onboarding surveys, turnover reports, etc.)
- Works as a liaison between the field and payroll to ensure the timekeeping is accurate and issues are addressed timely
- Oversee Employee Recognition program
- Approve monthly peer to peer “High 5 Awards”
- Collect nominations for quarterly “Round of Applause” awards and annual “Standing Ovation” awards
- Order coins, plaques, and gift cards for nominees
- Other Administrative Tasks:
- Manage employee referral program and ensure referring employees receive appropriate bonuses at the various timelines
- Maintain document filing and process updates
- Track new hires, transfers/changes, and terminations on spreadsheet for HR Director
- Schedule internal meetings and trainings for HR Director
- Help prepare monthly regional HR newsletter
- Support HR Director on special projects, including, but not limited to holiday events, Employee Appreciation Day, Month of Giving, and Quarterly Talent Reviews
- Recommend new approaches to effect ongoing continual improvements to policies, procedures, and documentation
Required Skills and Experience:

- Excellent initiative and intuitiveness
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, & Outlook)
- Ability to learn and use new software platforms
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Insurance industry experience preferred, but not required
- Minimum 2 years’ professional office experience
- Ability to work in the Denver office 3 days per week

This position pays $25-27/hour, depending on experience. We also offer a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and a 401k match, amongst other offerings. Finally, we have a generous PTO program, as well!
