Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years software development experience including minimum 5 years leading engineering teams.
  • Experience managing enterprise sales and financial systems such as ERPs or Salesforce strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to translate strategic vision into successful execution and lead teams through change
  • Solid management experience with the demonstrated ability to build, mentor and maintain an inclusive team-based environment.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborating with partners across 84.51° to create and execute Engineering strategies in support of 84.51° overall business plan.
  • Coaching, motivating, mentoring, and growing a world-class Engineering team.
  • Working to enable high performing teams to deliver amazing business value on time and with high quality.
  • Driving for continuous improvement in operational effectiveness within Engineering and across 84.51°.
  • Leading and coaching direct reports in the performance of responsibilities; providing ongoing feedback to direct reports and completing performance reviews.
  • Participating in the formulation and implementation of company business system architecture plans, assessing cost and feasibility of system requests, and ensuring the plan supports both strategic and near-term needs
  • Providing a solid understanding of software contracts and vendor management.
  • Strategically managing large technology budgets and ensuring cost savings opportunities and efficiencies are being achieved.
  • Drive improvements in operational efficiency and lower costs of running the engine by identifying opportunities for automation, education, and process changes.
  • Encourage innovation and evaluation implementation of new technologies, inclusion, teamwork, self-organization, and diversity.
  • Escalate concerns to leadership, as needed, and work independently to remove roadblocks for the teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement to deliver solutions that are at the forefront of industry leading techniques while also adhering to best practices.
