Requirements
  • At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in mechanical and/or manufacturing engineering, including demonstrated leadership of complex projects or product lines.
  • A bachelor's degree from a four-year college in Engineering or a closely related field is required.
  • Other combinations of advanced education and equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills, including advanced root cause analysis and data-driven decision-making.
  • Deep knowledge of manufacturing processes and continuous improvement methodologies, including Lean, Six Sigma, and design for manufacturability.
  • Ability to define, document, and govern manufacturing processes, inspection plans, and validation protocols.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach, and technically develop engineers and shop-floor team members.
  • Strong knowledge of electronic components and electronic assemblies as they interface with mechanical systems.
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including leadership and customers.
  • Proven capability to influence without authority and lead through technical expertise.
  • Experience operating in or deploying ISO 9001 or equivalent quality systems.
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the creation and approval of complex engineering documentation, including models, drawings, bills of materials, and quotes, using computer-aided design systems, product data management, and enterprise resource planning software.
  • Serve as technical lead on assigned projects, ensuring delivery of scope, schedule, cost, quality, and customer requirements.
  • Drive design reviews, risk assessments, and cross-functional alignment for new and existing products.
  • Translate customer requirements into manufacturable, reliable, and scalable engineering solutions.
  • Own and govern bill of material structure and product configurations, ensuring accuracy, change control, and lifecycle management.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for product, process, and field performance issues, driving continuous improvement in design, manufacturability, safety, cost, and quality.
Desired Qualifications
  • A master's degree in Engineering or Business (MBA).
  • Advanced SolidWorks certifications, such as CSWP, CSWE, CPPA, or equivalent.
  • Engineering in Training or Professional Engineer certification.
