Responsibilities
  • Open the store by managing the safe, controller, registers, and distribution of reports.
  • Maintain daily general-office functions, including morning cash entry, bank deposits, chargeback reconciliation, and register and petty-cash counts.
  • Resolve internal and external customer issues, including researching and paying bills and tracking and processing customer packages.
  • Follow jewelry standards and shipping guidelines.
  • Receive, verify, and properly book jewelry according to company standards.
  • Process re-tickets, return-to-vendor transactions, transfers, advanced shipping notice shipments, and price changes.
  • Retrieve and process merchandise returned or transferred to vendors according to company standards.
  • Complete case counts, enter merchandise into the case-count system after receipt, and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Maintain a repair log, track repairs sent to vendors or local shops, and submit repair invoices.
  • Receive and verify merchandise for trunk shows, assist with show setup and takedown, and recap results.
  • Prepare and submit special-order requests and Statements of Sale when requested.
  • Communicate with corporate merchants, accounts payable, inventory control, and vendors as needed.
  • Maintain internal-audit readiness and adhere to internal-audit standards, including monitoring vault and safe contents.
  • Assist managers and associates on the selling floor as necessary.
  • Process fulfillment orders.
  • Perform ad hoc responsibilities and other store initiatives assigned by management.
