Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work is required.
  • The candidate must be a Licensed Social Worker in the State of Ohio.
  • Experience working with victims of traumatic crimes, such as domestic violence or sexual assault, is required.
  • The candidate must successfully obtain and maintain driving privileges under The Salvation Army insurance standards, including access to a personal vehicle and insurance coverage for transportation needs related to the position.
  • The candidate must be willing to uphold and support The Salvation Army's mission and ministry.
Responsibilities
  • Support emergency response and short-term comprehensive care for domestic and lawful permanent resident victims of sex and labor trafficking identified by law enforcement, court programs, social service or health providers, and other sources.
  • Serve as an initial point of contact and emergency responder for victim services at The Salvation Army.
  • Provide rotating 24-hour emergency response and comprehensive initial case management.
  • Assess immediate needs and conduct intakes.
  • Coordinate with the Child Advocacy Center, law enforcement, Child Welfare, Juvenile Court, Off the Streets, Municipal Court, Probation Services, and other systems and organizations to support victims in leaving trafficking situations and receiving needed services.
  • Use Salvation Army and other resources to meet victims' immediate needs, including safe temporary housing, clothing, food, medical care, and mental health care.
  • Develop safety plans and service plans in coordination with victims.
  • Provide limited-time shelter-based or home-based case management to help clients achieve service-plan goals, including permanent housing, legal assistance, work with law enforcement, employment, counseling, and linkage to benefits.
  • Maintain accurate and timely case notes.
  • Complete reports in a timely manner.
  • Attend End Slavery Cincinnati meetings as needed.
  • Co-provide on-call and other supervision, as necessary, with the Anti-Human Trafficking Program Manager and Service Team Coordinator for staff and volunteers responding to hotline and other emergency needs.
  • Assist in coordinating and preparing data collection and program reports for funders and Salvation Army statistics.
  • Support coordination and development of resources and tools for the Anti-Human Trafficking hotline and crisis programs.
  • Participate in other service programming as needed.
  • Complete other tasks and duties assigned by the supervisor.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Experience working with victims of human trafficking is preferred.
