Responsibilities
  • Produce complex credit analysis assignments for new extensions of credit, credit renewals, annual reviews, modifications, and other line-of-business assignments.
  • Take a leading role in underwriting goals by providing guidance and training to other analysts on the team.
  • Monitor client operating and financial performance metrics and conditions after loan origination, including covenant monitoring and borrowing base compliance.
  • Apply the bank's loan policy and programs for extending credit to clients.
  • Provide front-end support for loan request packages and ensure all pertinent financial information is in the credit file.
  • Use loan documentation to produce summaries of important loan conditions and collateral structures.
  • Use the systems and procedures required for business banking operations, including spreading software, credit approval software, and formats for formal credit recommendations.
  • Work adjusted schedules, overtime, or evening and weekend hours when needed to meet deadlines.
Desired Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or another applicable undergraduate or graduate field is preferred.
  • Completion of a formal credit training program or certification may substitute for a degree.

Sunflower Bank taps David Musicant as regional president to drive Southern California expansion

Sunflower Bank has appointed David Musicant as regional president for Southern California, a newly created role to oversee commercial banking strategy in Orange County. The appointment follows FirstSun Capital Bancorp's completion of its acquisition of First Foundation Inc. on 1 April 2026, which doubled the bank's size to $8.6 billion in assets. Musicant brings over 35 years of middle-market banking experience in Southern California, most recently serving as managing director for West Coast market expansion. He will work alongside James Canepa, who joined as regional president in 2024 and now oversees Greater Los Angeles and the Inland Empire. The bank now operates 100 full-service branches across ten states. First Foundation Advisors remains a wholly owned subsidiary of FirstSun following the merger.

QuickLogic secures $10M revolving credit facility with Sunflower Bank to fund growth

QuickLogic Corporation, a developer of embedded FPGA and programmable logic solutions, has secured a $10 million revolving credit facility with Sunflower Bank, effective 27 April 2026. The three-year agreement replaces the company's previous arrangement with Heritage Bank of Commerce and matures on 24 April 2029. The credit facility will support general corporate purposes, including working capital, and provide financial flexibility for QuickLogic's strategic initiatives. These include developing Strategic Radiation Hardened FPGAs for the US Government, expanding process technology support for its eFPGA Hard IP licensing, and supplementing its Storefront business. Chief Financial Officer Elias Nader said the new banking relationship strengthens QuickLogic's financial foundation whilst enabling more efficient execution of its growth strategy.

FirstSun Capital Bancorp posts $21.6M Q1 2026 profit, completes First Foundation merger

FirstSun Capital Bancorp reported net income of $21.6 million, or $0.76 per diluted share, for the first quarter of 2026, down from $23.6 million, or $0.83 per share, in the same period last year. Adjusted net income reached $23.7 million, or $0.84 per diluted share. The Denver-based company completed its merger with First Foundation on 1 April 2026, incurring $2.7 million in merger-related expenses during the quarter. First Foundation's results are not included in the quarterly figures. FirstSun reported robust loan growth of 16.2% annualised and maintained a net interest margin of 4.25%. However, net charge-offs increased to $10.6 million, primarily due to write-downs on two commercial and industrial loan relationships. Deposits remained flat at $7.1 billion, whilst loans grew to $6.9 billion.
