Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field is required.
  • Proven success in sales roles with healthcare systems is required.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare investment practices, including enterprise risk modeling and the use of alternative investments, is required.
  • Strong understanding of governance structures, committee and staff dynamics, and procurement and selection processes used by healthcare entities is required.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to articulate complex financial concepts to prospects, are required.
  • Ability to develop and execute sales strategies aligned with business objectives is required.
  • Series 7 and Series 63 licenses are required.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth within the healthcare segment.
  • Partner with Mercer's Healthcare Investment team and lead requests for proposals and final-materials presentations.
  • Collaborate with senior management and key stakeholders to define sales strategies, identify market opportunities, and develop approaches to expand Mercer's client base in not-for-profit healthcare.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key prospects and industry influencers to generate new business and enhance the organization's reputation.
  • Monitor industry trends, market developments, and regulatory changes affecting the not-for-profit healthcare industry, and incorporate this knowledge into sales strategies and prospect interactions.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, pipeline management, and market trends, and provide regular reports and insights to senior management.
  • Identify and advance strategic growth opportunities supporting Mercer's Healthcare practice.
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to develop and execute targeted marketing for a nonprofit investor audience.
  • Coordinate sales activities related to requests for proposals and proposals, secure required internal approvals, and manage pricing inputs.
Desired Qualifications
  • A master's degree or professional certifications such as Chartered Financial Analyst or Certified Financial Planner is advantageous.
  • Significant knowledge of the healthcare industry is desirable.
  • Deep alternative investments knowledge and experience implementing alternatives within investment portfolios are desirable.
  • Proven ability to originate and win very large, high-impact mandates with sophisticated institutional healthcare clients is desirable.
  • Experience with artificial intelligence and technology-enabled tools is desirable.
