Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
  • Have at least two years of radiologic or multi-modality experience in two or more modalities.
  • Be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), including ARRT Advanced Modality Registration.
  • Hold a South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association license in Radiography and Computed Tomography.
  • Be competent in advanced modality skill sets and flexible to rotate.
  • Maintain and renew ARRT registration, the state license, Basic Life Support certification, PPD, respirator fit test, and point-of-care training.
  • Hold current Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or an American Red Cross Basic Life Support certification for Healthcare Providers.
  • Be familiar with age-specific criteria.
Responsibilities
  • Explain procedures effectively to patients and confirm that they are competent in the procedure being performed.
  • Produce high-quality images for interpretation or at the request of a licensed practitioner.
  • Perform advanced imaging with little supervision.
  • Rotate across modalities as needed.
