Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Health Economics or Science-related field and/or demonstrable relevant experience
  • Solid experience in UK & Ireland market access of Medical Devices including direct experience of all elements of the reimbursement process and pathways including strategy, dossier writing and submission, liaison with societies, KOLs and authorities, and negotiations with payers.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of funding and reimbursement mechanisms across the UK and Ireland.
  • Able to translate scientific evidence into compelling value argumentations
  • Highly analytical with excellent written and verbal skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, including demonstrated ability to develop relationships at all levels in an organisation
  • Comfortable & motivated by working in a matrix, international organisation
  • Excellent interpersonal skill with the ability to build trusted working relations both internally and externally.
  • Creative, willing to try new approaches and think out-of-the-box, self-directed problem-solver, who functions well in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluent in English
  • Ability to travel up to 50% annually, dependent upon location & demands of the business
Responsibilities
  • Develop the UK&I market access strategy development including reimbursement and access environment scanning, HTA development and requirements
  • Develop & implement comprehensive business cases to address funding issues as well as preparing national pricing & reimbursement files to support listing negotiations within the UK & Ireland
  • Collaborate with key functions to co-create the National Value Strategy Plan, identifying evidence gaps both clinical and economic and proposing solutions to address the gaps to the relevant US and International teams
  • Anticipate access barriers, evaluate threats and opportunities arising out of legislation, regulations, health technology assessments from Governments, health authorities, public and private payers & determine their implications alongside internal stakeholders
  • Lead the development of localised payer engagement tools and ensure cross-functional alignment to support the delivery of iRhythm’s value proposition with local payers
  • Construct and own strong relationships with key external payers and their influencers, as the primary point of contact; work cross-functionally to accumulate feedback from KOLs/payers to drive relevant market access activities
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop innovative access model, e.g., Value Based Healthcare, Innovative Access models, Outcomes-Based Agreements, and Value-Based Pricing initiatives as relevant
  • Gather external stakeholders’ insights through key strategic partnerships with key opinion leaders, societies and non-clinical stakeholders, and shape market access policies within UK&I as needed
  • Support the International iRhythm business in conjunction with the US Clinical and HEOR teams to develop a real-world evidence and dissemination strategy to support sustained access and adoption of iRhythm’s portfolio
  • Support the implementation of HEMA tools and materials, translating complex messages into simple statements that can easily be articulated by commercial team
  • Ensure full representation and participation of market access function in country commercial team meetings
