Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Seven or more years of hands-on SAP experience, including three or more years in S/4HANA environments, are required.
  • Strong functional expertise in SAP Extended Warehouse Management configuration and execution, including integration with manufacturing processes such as Production Planning, Production Planning for Process Industries, and process orders, is required.
  • Practical experience supporting manufacturing-related warehouse execution, including staging, goods issue and receipt, batch handling, replenishment, and physical inventory, is required.
  • Experience supporting SAP go-lives and post-go-live stabilization is required, preferably in RISE with SAP environments.
  • Experience in regulated manufacturing environments such as pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or contract development and manufacturing organizations is strongly required.
  • Working knowledge of SAP integration tools, Fiori apps, and interfaces such as IDoc and BAPI is required.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot operational issues directly in SAP and drive them through resolution is required.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are required.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse execution and manufacturing integration within SAP, including PTM process flows, shop-floor material movement, and inventory control, is required.
  • Ability to translate operational needs into practical SAP EWM solutions that improve execution, data quality, and compliance is required.
  • A hands-on approach to system support, configuration, and continuous improvement is required.
  • Proficiency in documentation, process mapping, standard operating procedure development, and end-user training is required.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across Manufacturing, Warehouse Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and IT is required.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and reporting skills are required.
  • Solid business acumen and the ability to balance system design with operational realities are required.
  • The employee must be able to perform the stated physical duties, including standing, walking, sitting, and lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • The employee must use required personal protective equipment when accessing laboratory, manufacturing, or clinical areas.
Responsibilities
  • Act as the hands-on functional owner for SAP EWM and manufacturing integration in a live S/4HANA RISE environment, directly supporting warehouse execution and production material flow.
  • Configure, support, and optimize SAP EWM processes including inbound and outbound operations, staging, goods issue and receipt, batch handling, replenishment, and physical inventory.
  • Support end-to-end manufacturing integration with SAP PP and PP-PI, including process-order staging, component consumption, finished-goods receipt, and warehouse-to-production movements.
  • Work directly with warehouse supervisors, production teams, Quality, and Supply Chain to resolve day-to-day operational issues and implement system improvements.
  • Lead hands-on troubleshooting of EWM and PP integration issues, including stock inconsistencies, staging failures, batch problems, and execution errors.
  • Gather requirements, perform configuration changes, and deliver enhancements that improve warehouse execution, inventory accuracy, and production readiness.
  • Own EWM-related incidents and enhancements from intake through resolution, including root-cause analysis and documentation.
  • Partner with ABAP and integration resources to define functional specifications for reports, interfaces, and Fiori apps supporting warehouse and manufacturing execution.
  • Execute and support unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing, and participate in defect resolution.
  • Create and maintain functional documentation and standard operating procedures, and provide training to business users.
  • Ensure processes meet cGMP/GxP requirements and support validation activities as needed.
  • Drive continuous improvement by reducing manual workarounds, strengthening process discipline, and improving system adoption across warehouse and manufacturing operations.
  • Support ongoing SAP stabilization efforts and future warehouse optimization initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Travel up to 20% as required.
Desired Qualifications
  • SAP EWM certification is strongly preferred, or equivalent hands-on EWM implementation experience is acceptable.
  • Experience supporting SAP go-lives and post-go-live stabilization in RISE with SAP environments is preferred.
