Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 15 years of progressive leadership experience within the transportation, infrastructure, or engineering consulting industry in the North Texas area.
  • Demonstrated success driving business development, client relationship management, and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of the North Texas transportation market, including key public-sector agencies, funding programs, and regional priorities.
  • Proven ability to develop trusted client relationships and lead complex pursuits from opportunity identification through contract award.
  • Experience managing teams, business operations, project delivery, and financial performance metrics.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and fostering a culture of engagement, accountability, and collaboration.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic growth initiatives aligned with GFT's business objectives and long-term vision.
  • Identify, position for, and pursue new transportation opportunities across highways, bridges, transit, rail, and multimodal infrastructure markets.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with key clients, industry partners, and community stakeholders.
  • Lead strategic pursuit efforts, including go/no-go evaluations, teaming strategies, capture planning, and interview preparation.
  • Collaborate with leaders across business lines and geographies to maximize client service opportunities and expand GFT's service offerings.
  • Represent GFT at industry conferences, professional organizations, client meetings, and community events.
  • Monitor industry trends, transportation funding initiatives, competitive activity, and client capital programs to identify growth opportunities.
  • Partner with the Texas Operations Leader to execute the Area business plan and support achievement of key operational objectives.
  • Drive performance related to revenue growth, profitability, utilization, sales, and overall business performance.
  • Provide leadership and oversight on strategic projects, serving as Project Principal, Senior Project Manager, or Executive Sponsor when appropriate.
  • Support workforce planning, staffing strategies, and resource management to meet current and future business needs.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Mentor and develop staff while supporting succession planning and leadership development initiatives.
  • Champion client satisfaction and project excellence across all engagements within the Area.
