The Silicon and Systems Technology Research and Development team is seeking a motivated, ambitious, and versatile new college graduate for Electronic Design Automation (EDA) Tool Development in our Engineering Enablement organization located at ADI’s Wilmington, MA site. You will join a team of Electrical and Computer engineers specialized in different domains like modeling, simulation, layout, software, and reliability. As a group we are responsible for developing and supporting outstanding tools and technologies to enable ADI product development, providing competitive advantage by assessing and introducing forward-looking, transformative technologies for the ADI engineering community. As part of your role, you will be involved in EDA tool and flows development to aid simulation, modeling, design, and verification environment, improving their quality, documenting, and presenting your work. In addition, the position will require close collaboration within the group and with different stakeholders across the ADI engineering community.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Develop and apply EDA software engineering methods, theories, and applied research techniques in the investigation and solution of technical problems
- Develop EDA software and automated procedures for device model extraction and behavioral model generation using C++, Python, and MATLAB
- Ensure seamless integration of new methodologies, tools, and flows with both internal and external EDA tools for ease of use
- Perform circuit analysis on high-performance analog, power, and mixed-signal designs
- Publish technical reports and documentation to be used by ADI circuit designers
Minimum qualifications
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or equivalent
- Coursework/experience with circuit design, simulation, and verification
- Coursework/experience with Python, C++, and MATLAB
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and team oriented
- Willingness and ability to learn something new quickly
Preferred qualifications
Background in semiconductor device physics is desirable Familiarity with common EDA tools, such as Virtuoso, Spectre, etc. Familiarity with industry standards such as Verilog-AMS Familiarity/experience with Python package development Coursework on analog, digital electronics, data structures and algorithms
