  • 3 years of experience in a sales or sales-adjacent position
  • Experience in the biotech and/or pharmaceutical industry
  • Relevant previous experience in sales and marketing
  • Proven track record in achieving sales targets and fostering client relationships
  • Comfortable reading into and becoming familiar with the technical details of the product
  • Able to inspire confidence in and excitement about ECL’s product
  • Comfortable generating and reaching out to new prospective customers
  • Multitasking ability in a fast-moving environment
  • Resourceful in setting priorities
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills
  • Solid network of industry contacts, preferably in the pharma and biotech sector
Responsibilities
  • Successfully prospect and sell solutions and services via a consultative (and educational) selling approach within the assigned segment
  • Coordinate and work collaboratively with SMEs across the organization to create compelling and goal-driven solutions for clients and prospects
  • Direct and execute a strategic sales plan that supports the growth of Emerald Cloud Lab’s business
  • Develop and maintain in-depth relationships with client decision makers and influencers
  • Provide Segment Account Plan overviews on a quarterly basis for review
  • Target and acquire new business by maintaining keen awareness of industry trends and tools
  • Provide regular and timely input on status, progress, challenges, strategies, and results into appropriate Client Relationship Management (CRM) platforms
  • Manage sales process from initial prospect interaction through contract execution
  • Adhere, respond, and/or maintain various administrative processes and tasks such as expense reporting, employee requirements, travel planning and training
  • Partner with an assigned Business Development Specialist (BDS) to maximize growth of the segment
  • Represent ECL at client presentations and industry conferences/events on an as needed basis
  • Adhere to ECL’s selling processes, practices, and rules of engagement
