Requirements
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration
  • A Master’s degree or certification in Compensation and Benefits (e.g., CCP - Certified Compensation Professional) is preferred
  • 7-10 years of experience in compensation management, ideally within a multinational organization or a large enterprise with a focus on India and its labor laws
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing compensation structures, conducting salary benchmarking, and handling compensation-related queries at a strategic level
  • Basic understanding of compensation policies, labor laws, tax regulations, and market trends in India, along with exposure to global compensation frameworks
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize large volumes of compensation data and present insights to senior leadership
  • Proficiency in compensation management software (preferably SAP) and advanced Excel skills (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence and collaborate with various stakeholders, including senior management, HR partners, and external vendors
  • Strong project management skills with experience in implementing compensation processes or system enhancements
  • Knowledge and work experience with managing data analytics with Python and R would be a plus
  • Strong understanding of the Indian job market, competitive compensation trends, and relevant government regulations and statutory requirements
  • Knowledge of global compensation and benefits practices and how to adapt them for local execution in India
Responsibilities
  • Support in developing and implementing compensation strategies and structures aligned with the organization's policies, while considering local market conditions in India
  • Work on competitive benchmarking and analysis of compensation packages to ensure the company remains competitive in the market
  • Collaborate with senior HR leadership to help define and implement pay philosophy and merit increase guidelines
  • Review and recommend actions to align internal pay practices with external market data, creating and maintaining a structured salary scale
  • Define hiring ranges for various cohorts to support talent acquisition team in line with organizational objectives
  • Lead and manage the compensation survey participation process, ensuring accurate data submission
  • Provide in-depth analysis and reporting on compensation data, including pay equity, market competitiveness, internal consistency, and regulatory compliance
  • Participate and contribute in annual compensation budgets and work with finance teams to ensure alignment with financial goals
  • Create and manage compensation dashboards as per business goals with regular consulting insights provided to HR Leadership teams on possible actions to be taken at appropriate times
  • Ensure adherence to local and global company policies, particularly in India
  • Participate and contribute to statutory reporting requirements related to compensation, including compliance with government wage regulations and tax structures
  • Manage reward programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and culture, with special focus on employee satisfaction and retention in the Indian market
  • Collaborate with the benefits team to design comprehensive total rewards packages that include base pay, bonuses and benefits
  • Drive harmonization and alignment among various organization entities as per guidance provided by leadership
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior management, business leaders, and HR partners on compensation-related matters
  • Provide guidance and support to local HR teams in India regarding compensation decisions, negotiations, and compensation philosophy alignment
  • Work closely with shared service(s) teams to enable/equip them to support compensation processes
  • Help build the Compensation Shared Services concept for India
  • Lead or support the implementation of compensation management systems, integrating them with HRIS for seamless data management
  • Ensure effective use of technology to streamline compensation processes, reporting, and analytics
  • Develop and deliver communication materials and sessions to enhance employee understanding of compensation-related matters
  • Create FAQs for critical compensation processes to enable business managers

Neurophos Inc., a chip startup developing technology to outperform AI accelerators, has raised $110 million in funding led by Gates Frontier, Bill Gates' venture capital fund. Microsoft's M12 and Aramco Ventures, the investment arm of Saudi Arabia's state-owned oil producer, also participated. Additional investors in the round included Bosch Ventures, Tectonic Ventures and Space Capital.
