- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
- Three years of industrial electrical design experience in manufacturing are required.
- Experience with electrical design standards and controls systems design using standard computer-aided design tools is required.
- Experience with Rockwell programmable logic controller programming standards and programming software, including GRAFCET, Ladder Logic, and Structured Text, is required.
- Experience with variable frequency drives and motion control technologies is required.
- Experience programming and interfacing programmable logic controllers with industrial six-axis robots is required.
- Working knowledge of computer-aided design systems is required.
- The ability to work effectively in a cross-functional group setting and provide technical guidance to senior management is required.
- The ability to work independently and lead, coach, and mentor others is required.
- Develop preliminary designs and help establish functional requirements for new devices and systems.
- Create estimates and budgets, ensure part and system procurement, oversee the fabrication of electrical equipment, manage vendors and contractors, and deliver complete and up-to-date technical documentation.
- Coordinate installation and startup of projects ranging from minor adjustments to existing machinery to significant expansion projects.
- Interact with operators and maintenance staff and learn every aspect of procedures through hands-on use of machinery and procedures.
- Provide technical support for issue solving and analysis, as well as technical expertise for the upkeep, modification, and installation of machinery and equipment used in the production process.
- Participate in project management activities, including financial justification, design, vendor and procurement coordination, installation, startup, qualification, machine acceptance, and operations and maintenance training.
- Travel as required.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Experience with SEE Electrical is preferred.
- Specific experience with Siemens is a plus.
- Specific experience with Control Techniques, SEW MOVIMOT, and Rockwell is a plus.
- Knowledge of FactoryTalk View ME Studio would be helpful.
- Specific experience with Rockwell is a plus.
