Requirements
  • A valid Class 5 driver's license and a current driver's abstract with no more than 5 demerits in the last 3 years are required.
  • At least 1 year of labour experience in an industrial environment is required.
  • The candidate must be able to provide a negative result on a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude is required.
  • The candidate must be able to work days and nights for 10–12 hours per day.
  • The candidate must be able to work outdoors most of the time in sometimes harsh weather conditions.
  • Prior experience working at heights with special fall-restraint equipment is required.
  • The candidate must be able to perform physically demanding work, including climbing multiple flights of stairs and carrying equipment weighing up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Experience and comfort with confined spaces such as small vessels, tanks, or trenches are required.
  • The candidate must be comfortable using additional respiratory equipment and air supply, wearing a full-face mask, and carrying their own oxygen source.
Responsibilities
  • Work alongside Operators to assist with operating and maintaining vacuum trucks, high-pressure water equipment, and various specialty tools.
  • Work safely at heights of up to 100 meters in a labour-intensive capacity.
  • Climb safely into small vessels and tanks with industrial cleaning equipment.
  • Complete minor equipment maintenance and checks.
  • Ensure the safety of all team members and property.
  • Provide quality services to clients.
  • Work as part of a team and follow direction from supervision.
  • Learn and apply new skills by rigging specialty equipment in and out.
  • Leave job sites in better condition by completing the work safely and cleaning the site.
  • Haul hoses, personal protective equipment, and tools to the work area.
  • Complete required project and job paperwork.
  • Perform work carefully and safely, with attention to detail.
Desired Qualifications
  • Valid SCOT (Safety Construction Orientation Training) certification is an asset.
  • Confined Space and Fall Protection certifications are considered assets.
