POSITION OVERVIEW

The Vice President/Institutional FP&A (the role) is part of Global Atlantic’s Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. The role reports to the Institutional BFO. The person in this position will work with and support the Institutional BFO, collectively acting as strategic partners to our rapidly growing Institutional Markets segment to help develop and implement strategies to maximize risk-adjusted returns. Along with the Institutional BFO, the role also helps to coordinate the analysis of actual and forecast earnings, capital and other KPIs to help drive data-driven decision-making.

This role will be based in our Boston office. An alternative location, specifically our New York office, may be considered for certain candidates.

Specific responsibilities include:

Strategic partner to various members (and staff) of the Institutional Markets Leadership team
Regular reporting of financial metrics, including attribution of under / out performance
Helping to identify opportunities to grow earnings, increase efficiency, and optimize capital
Helping to drive key Finance priorities and helping to operationalize routine reporting and analyses
Coordinates with broader finance, actuarial and risk teams to help onboard new transactions and monitor financial performance of existing business
Coordinates the development of key assumptions and business narrative for planning and budgeting
Lead the preparation of recurring and ad-hoc presentations to senior management, including the Board of Directors, around financial performance of business drivers and key metrics
Collaborates with our Bermuda finance and actuarial teams to support financial reporting and other needs associated with internal and third-party reinsurance transactions

QUALIFICATIONS & NECESSARY SKILLS

Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related field; MBA preferred
Minimum 7-10 years of relevant experience, including reinsurance, insurance, financial services, M&A, and valuation / financial reporting
Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) required
Executive presence with thoughtful, articulate communication style adaptable to the audience
Strong communication and relationship building skills
Thought leader to help drive key business decisions and initiatives by partnering closely across teams and functions
High energy with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment and think clearly under pressure
Drive, enthusiasm, creativity, and excellent interpersonal skills

Various jurisdictions have passed pay transparency laws that require companies provide salary ranges for any positions for which they are accepting applications. Global Atlantic has offices in Atlanta, Batesville, Bermuda, Boston, Des Moines, Hartford, Indianapolis, and New York City. The base salary range posted below is inclusive of the lowest cost of living geography to the highest in which we have a Global Atlantic office.

Global Atlantic’s base salary range is determined through an analysis of similar positions in the external labor market. Base pay is just one component of Global Atlantic’s total compensation package for employees and at times we hire outside the boundaries of the salary range. Other rewards may include annual cash bonuses, long-term incentives (equity), generous benefits (including immediate vesting on employee contributions to a 401(k), as well as a company match on your contributions), and sales incentives. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Compensation for our more senior positions have a larger component of short-term cash bonus and long-term incentives.

The base salary range for this role is

$130,500—$248,500 USD

Global Atlantic reserves the right to modify the qualifications and requirements for this position to accommodate business needs and regulatory changes. Future adjustments may include obtaining specific licenses or certifications to comply with operational needs and conform to applicable industry-specific regulatory requirements, state and federal laws.
