A role in Zip’s Data multi-faceted team will give you the opportunity to ideate, create, and manage data strategies and architectures that power data-driven decision-making for Zipsters at all levels and in all teams across our organization.

Working in our Data Insights & Analytics team provides no shortage of opportunities to truly impact the way we operate. As a trusted strategic partner to every team across Zip, you will own all things data from data modeling and dashboard building to deep-dive analytics recommendations that truly change the game for our customers.

Interesting problems you’ll get to solve

• Be responsible for Zip’s data analytics platforms which provide support for all merchant squad functions (including sales, account management, and product)
• The primary focus of this role is to dive deep into our product to make recommendations for improvement. You will be working closely with product managers to dissect our product, make recommendations, then monitor and measure them
• Support sales and account management to create compelling stories that are driven by data to attract, engage and retain more merchants
• Measure business impact with the product team by analyzing new and existing product changes
• Build and maintain data analytics dashboards managed by the insights analytics team
• Diagnose vague business problems and translate them into data and actionable steps

What you’ll bring to the team 

• At least 2 years of professional data experience, this includes experience with a coding language, SQL preferred, and a BI tool, tableau preferred
• Experience in product analytics is preferred
• Experience with github is a plus
• Comfort in building, maintaining, and fixing end-to-end data products i.e. a dashboard needs to contain a new feature to reflect a change in our product funnel.
• Critical thinking around business questions, when given a task your immediate answer isn’t “yes”. Your goal is to not only provide the data being requested but why it’s needed to interrogate our databases and bring more useful information forward

The Pay Range for this position: $87,040 - $109,000 USD based on the industry benchmark for position, function, level and Zip’s compensation strategies. However, actual base salary will depend on varying circumstances and individualized factors, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. 

Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
