  • Applicants must be familiar with current federal and state laws, NATO Joint Force Command Norfolk Facilities policies, practices, and standard operating procedures.
  • Applicants must hold a valid DCJS Security License.
  • Applicants must hold a valid state driver's license.
  • Applicants must be eligible to receive a DBIDS pass.
  • Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain a NATO SECRET security clearance.
  • Applicants must have knowledge of the LENEL access control system.
  • Applicants must be familiar with day-to-day operations of CCTV systems.
  • Applicants must be drug free and pass a pre-employment drug screening.
  • Applicants must have acceptable reference and background check results.
  • Applicants may be required to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Applicants must be available for shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
  • Control entry and exit posts.
  • Conduct roving vehicle and foot patrols.
  • Control, issue, and store keys.
  • Monitor alarm and fire systems.
  • Enforce building rules and regulations and prohibit unauthorized access.
  • Respond to incidents, accidents, injuries, and illnesses.
  • Work with the LENEL access control system.
  • Issue and control access badges.
  • Monitor CCTV alarms.
  • Conduct emergency and alarm response.
  • Conduct routine security checks and administrative inspections.
  • Identify and report security anomalies.
  • Maintain security logbooks.
