Requirements
  • Six years of lead work, supervision, or progressively related experience
  • Three years of related experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related field
Responsibilities
  • Oversee the administration, management, and coordination of federal and statewide emergency response operations ECC/RCC, Emergency Communications, the State Emergency Coordination Center, Search and Rescue, and the integration of crisis management tools
  • Partner with the IT Division to arrange workforce and fiscal resources to integrate "cutting-edge" technologies into current operations, communications, and automation systems that enhance OEM’s ability to provide mission critical support to local, state, tribal, and federal agencies and jurisdictions
  • As a member of the management team, participate in the section’s program budget preparations
  • Direct the operation of the Emergency Coordination Center (ECC) by developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient operations during exercises and actual emergency activations
  • Serve as 24/7 on-call Executive Duty Officer (EDO) on a rotational schedule, alternating with other designated staff

  • Possess leadership skills that influence, motivate, and challenge others, and can adapt leadership styles to a variety of situations
  • Management experience in an emergency management environment
