  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
  • 8+ years of experience in Marketing Strategic Sourcing, client-side Marketing, or within a Marketing Agency
  • 5+ years leading the development and management of category plans or sourcing strategies specific to marketing categories
  • Deep understanding of the agency creative and production marketplace, including deep industry and/or professional relationships with suppliers and agencies
  • Advanced understanding of marketing math/measurement and associated metrics
  • Past experiences challenging the status quo by developing business cases for change through leveraging business acumen, market intelligence, and insights to drive a broad strategic impact across an organization
  • Demonstrated contract and agreement negotiation experience, including development of negotiating plans and strategies for various marketing categories
  • Strong relationship management skills and ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with senior to executive level management. You need to be able to tell compelling stories through insights and data
  • Undergraduate degree required, graduate degree preferred
Responsibilities
  • Engage and establish business partnerships with cross functional leadership across Visa to collaborate, influence, and drive sourcing strategies
  • Translate business goals and proposals into functional initiatives, established project plans and supplier negotiation strategies
  • Bring business and functional perspectives together, helping the business to see the potential and impact of functional recommendations
  • Partner very closely with Visa’s Agency Management COE to measure and assess agency performance for Global Brand, Global Marketing Services and B2B Marketing
  • Develop and negotiate statements of work (SOWs) with detailed scope requirements, program deliverables accountability, and negotiated KPIs / SLAs in contract
  • Provide high level guidance on the overall continuous strategic sourcing process from needs identification, through supplier contractual adherence across multiple Creative and Production agencies
  • Support rapid upcoming growth in B2B Marketing, in housing, and marketing efforts provided on behalf of key Visa clients (e.g., Partner Marketing, or Client Driven Marketing)
  • Maintain strong external focus by leveraging industry peers, organizations, associations and by continuing to build strong relationships outside of Visa
  • Serve as a champion for change that can act decisively to drive decisions, while demonstrating agility to support the evolution of business needs
  • Communicate effectively and frequently, listen carefully, and actively seek and value the perspectives of others
  • Build effective strategic relationships with external suppliers to drive process improvements, enable rigorous planning, and execute business strategies
  • Support the implementation of Global Sourcing policies and procedures.
