Requirements
  • At least 6 years of hands-on experience building and deploying React JS applications in production environments.
  • Experience working collaboratively within Agile/Scrum delivery teams alongside UX designers and backend engineers.
  • Experience building analytical dashboards or interfaces that display complex, real-time data structures.
  • Deep mastery of React JS, including functional components, hooks, hook optimization, and advanced patterns.
  • High proficiency in Tailwind CSS, Material UI, or shadcn/ui, together with HTML5, CSS3, semantic markup, and accessibility standards.
  • Advanced ability to design state-management architectures using Redux Toolkit or Zustand and handle complex asynchronous REST API integrations.
  • Strong development capabilities in JavaScript ES6+ and TypeScript.
  • Capability to design and develop REST APIs using Node.js with Express or NestJS and Python with FastAPI or Flask.
  • Knowledge of basic schema design and querying in PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
  • Understanding of secure JWT and OAuth 2.0 authentication patterns.
Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain reusable React JS component libraries for consistency and scalability across applications.
  • Translate Figma or XD designs into responsive, pixel-perfect user interfaces using Flexbox, CSS Grid, and mobile-first principles.
  • Build complex, data-heavy dashboards featuring charts, tables, and real-time widgets.
  • Manage complex application state and optimize frontend performance through lazy loading, memoization, code splitting, and bundle-size management.
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility and adherence to WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards.
  • Write comprehensive unit tests using Jest and React Testing Library.
  • Integrate REST APIs and handle loading, error, and empty states gracefully.
  • Build and maintain backend RESTful APIs using Node.js with Express or NestJS.
  • Develop Python-based backend services or data pipelines using FastAPI or Flask.
  • Collaborate with AI/ML teams to integrate model outputs into frontend interfaces.
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to UI/UX and architectural decisions.
  • Maintain clean, documented code and contribute to structured Git branching and pull-request workflows.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Next.js, including SSR, SSG, or ISR, or with microfrontend architectures using Module Federation.
  • Domain knowledge of banking or fintech environments, particularly internal platforms or trading and analytical dashboards.
  • Experience with advanced data-visualization libraries such as D3.js, Chart.js, or Recharts.
  • Experience with Python data pipelines, LLM API integration using OpenAI or Azure OpenAI, LangChain, or retrieval-augmented generation pipelines.
  • Familiarity with WebSockets for real-time UI updates or cross-platform mobile experience using React Native.
  • Operational familiarity with AWS or Azure, Docker, and CI/CD automation pipelines.

DeepLight develops highly coherent, compact lasers tailored for space research and laser technology applications. Up to now 45 start-ups received funding – check the full list.With the Start-up innovation project, Innosuisse directly funds high potential science-based projects initiated by Swiss start-ups, giving them a financial boost to propel their market entry. The innovation projects must be based on application-oriented research and prepare the start-ups for entering the market for the first time. In the case of these projects, only the start-up is supported. A research partner is not necessary. Deeplight and ProSeed get FIT Funding boost

Deeplight: affordable high-end lasers for mass marketsIn collaboration with EPFL's Laboratory of Photonic Integrated Circuits and Quantum Measurements, Deeplight is at the forefront of the development of innovative lasers based on hybrid photonic integrated circuit technology. These lasers are essential for applications such as satellite-to-satellite telecommunication, LiDAR remote sensing in the automotive sector, and greenhouse gas detection.
 
These lasers feature the highest spectral purity on the market enabling optical detection applications with much greater sensitivity than today.
Deeplight has already signed licensing and collaboration agreements with EPFL, as well as development contracts with leading industrial companies.
 
The CHF 100,000 Tech Seed loan from FIT will enable Deeplight to strengthen the robustness of its lasers and achieve key milestones, including obtaining the relevant laser certifications and concluding contracts with its first customers.
 
ProSeed gives a second life to brewing by-productsProSeed's mission is to transform the Swiss food industry by upcycling brewing by-products into valuable raw materials. Using an innovative production unit, ProSeed offers breweries a hassle-free solution for transforming their by-products into food-grade raw materials, generating additional revenue while significantly reducing waste.
 
ProSeed's business model involves setting up processing units in breweries to convert brewers' residual grain into barley flakes, which it then sells to its network of ingredient manufacturers. The three-step process has been patented and the start-up has already signed letters of intent with breweries and food manufacturers. By teaming up with a major bakery, ProSeed sold over 8,500 baguettes made from barley flake-based protein flour in three months.
 
With the CHF 100,000 FoodTech loan from FIT, ProSeed will optimise its technology and increase its production capacity, with the aim of generating revenue by 2025.(Press release)
