  • Murphy USA's Q1 2026 pipeline includes six QuickChek projects, signaling continued investment.

What critics are saying

Upside launches new fuel offer model in New Jersey with QuickChek as first partner.

Upside launches new fuel offer model in New Jersey with QuickChek as first partner. Early partners gain first access to value-seeking drivers as demand for fuel savings rises April 27, 2026 Washington, DC - April 27, 2026 - Upside today announced the launch of cash back fuel offers in New Jersey, giving fuel and convenience retailers in the state a new tool to compete for increasingly value-driven drivers. QuickChek, part of Murphy USA, is the first fuel brand to go live with 70 locations. "Moments like this change how customers make their fuel decisions," said Sam Berkovitz, Vice President of Enterprise Fuel at Upside. "When drivers are actively seeking value, the retailers who show up with a compelling offer don't just capture demand - they shape it." As cash back fuel offers take hold in New Jersey, early partners like QuickChek gain immediate visibility with a growing base of consumers actively comparing where to fill up - and a head start on building the habits that drive repeat visits. "This is a first for New Jersey drivers, and we wanted QuickChek to lead it," said Shelby Padgett, Sr. Manager Digital Fuels Projects at QuickChek. "Cash back on gas gives customers another simple, tangible reason to choose us every time they fill up." The state's position within the Tri-State commuter corridor further amplifies the opportunity, as drivers traveling between New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania can carry their earning behavior across state lines - expanding the competitive set for every retailer. Upside expects to expand beyond the initial QuickChek footprint in the coming months, building toward a broader network of participating fuel locations across the state. Retailers interested in partnering with Upside in New Jersey can visit upside.com/business or contact their Upside account manager to learn more. About Upside Upside is a marketplace that connects millions of consumers with retailers through personalized offers.
