The Role

We are looking for an experienced finance professional to help refine, expand, and continue building our financial planning capabilities. 

You will partner with leaders across the organization and the Sr. Director of Finance to conduct analysis and reporting for the company’s revenue and financial drivers. You’ll play an essential role in our annual and quarterly planning processes. 

The ideal candidate will have a high degree of hands-on technical acumen when it comes to financial modeling and working with large data sets and databases. As a startup, the candidate should have a hands-on “builder” mindset – someone who can not only take over existing models and reports, but also strives to make them better and create new ones. 

Responsibilities

• Own the forward-looking financial forecast models to provide insight and guide decisions for the Company.
• Conduct deep-dive analytics and expand reporting around our revenue funnel.
• Develop and build reporting for department leaders around the organization to help them with budget adherence.
• Proactively identify areas for business improvement and provide data-driven arguments to support good decisions.
• Work closely with the Sr. Director of Finance to develop KPI’s for the business and report them in a thoughtful and useful manner.
• Generate variance analysis reports and presentations with both numbers and thoughtful commentary.
• Help implement new reporting tools and build appropriate data visualizations.

Requirements

• Approximately 3 to 5+ years of experience working in Financial Planning & Analysis, Strategic Finance, or a closely related field. 
• Expert-level financial modeling skills in Excel or other tools. 
• Strong data acumen, ideally with SQL coding capabilities.  
• Strong knowledge of corporate finance concepts – NPV, ROI, IRR, Valuation, etc.
• Ability to perform analyses with a high degree of autonomy and accuracy
• Ability to communicate insights clearly and succinctly (written and verbal)

Bonus points

• Experience working in a startup / growth-stage environment, ideally a venture-backed tech or FinTech company

The range of base salary for the position is between $100,000 - 169,000, plus equity, and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level and competencies.
