  • New or recent graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving ability.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work unsupervised, in a team-based work environment.
  • Must be self-motivated and client-service oriented
Responsibilities
  • Be curious and eager to learn new technologies while applying basic electrical theory.
  • Be willing to think outside the box to apply efficient methods of doing different tasks related to testing and certification.
  • Work closely with a variety of Certification Managers to successfully complete training.
  • Manage certification projects with the assistance of a mentor ensuring compliance with all applicable safety requirements.
  • Evaluate products against requirements of the national standards and guidelines.
  • Job shadow Product Safety Engineers and Laboratory Technicians to meet training requirements.
  • Review test data/reports and show an understanding of technical requirements to support the application of the CSA Mark.
  • Compile subsequent certification reports.
  • Keep the Managers informed of project status as required, pointing out progress and findings.
  • Correctly interpret the results from the tests.

CSA opens lab to test medical-grade PPE

TORONTO – CSA Group has announced the opening of an accredited, special-purpose laboratory dedicated to testing and certifying the safety of medical-grade PPE. Until now, there have been no domestic providers of testing and certification services for medical-grade PPE.
