  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with 4+ years of progressive experience in technical accounting roles.
  • Proven experience in an accounting advisory consulting practice, or industry experience in a technical accounting role.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complete accounting issues effectively and efficiently.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and explain complex accounting topics to non-accounting stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • SaaS industry experience is preferred.
  • Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical accounting issues quickly & accurately, and document accounting positions in memorandums. Communicate technical findings/ solutions to management and participate in discussions with external auditors.
  • Assist in the development and documentation of effective internal controls.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as FP&A, tax, legal, engineering and technical program management to provide accounting guidance and communicate complex accounting requests to non-accounting stakeholders.
  • Proactively analyze new and proposed accounting standards, determine the impact on the Company, and assist in the implementation of new accounting standards as required.
  • Maintain, update, and evaluate accounting policies & procedures to ensure compliance with applicable GAAP and disclosure requirements.
  • Review significant vendor agreements.
  • Prepare financial statements and disclosures.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations for technical accounting sections.
  • Assist in operationalizing any changes associated with new transactions/new and proposed accounting standards.
