Requirements
  • DDS, DMD, or international equivalent degree
  • Training certificate from a CODA accredited oral and maxillofacial surgery training program
  • Eligibility for a regular (unlimited) dental license by the Ohio State Dental Board
  • Board-eligibility or board-certification by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons
Responsibilities
  • teach at the pre-doctoral and resident trainee levels in both didactic and clinical settings
  • engage in research within the college and across other health science units at the Ohio State University and demonstrate high-quality scholarly work, including presentations at professional meetings and publications of basic or clinical research
  • The tenure-track faculty member will have a much greater emphasis placed on the pursuit of research and extramural funding in accordance with promotion requirements
  • serve in university and college governance
  • practice the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery and participate in maxillofacial trauma and odontogenic infection call for all affiliated hospitals
