About the role

We are looking to hire our first IT Engineer. In this role, you will have the opportunity to help build out the new function, supporting our employees and building the infrastructure and workflows that enable Meter to operate smoothly. Beyond this mandate, we expect you to partner closely across the organization - from sales & marketing to operations & engineering - and contribute to Meter’s long-term goal of being the default internet & WiFi across commercial spaces.

You will have an impact by

• Being the first IT engineer for a company that creates products for IT teams, setting the foundation and guiding our strategy, priorities, and operations
• Providing in-person and remote IT support from onboarding to device management to troubleshooting issues
• Managing our IT infrastructure and systems — hardware, software, workflows — that enable the team to focus on execution
• Going beyond the traditional IT role to
  • Support Sales & Marketing efforts through advocating for Meter in the IT community
  • Partner with Product & Engineering by providing feedback and testing our products
  • Collaborate with Installation Operations on network designs and deployment strategies

• Have a love of networking

• Are comfortable taking ownership and driving technical decisions
• Have experience supporting AV software and systems and a desire to learn more
• Have experience with client platform engineering (MDM, device management, device security, etc)
• Have experience working with a variety of SaaS applications and their management (Google Workspaces, Zoom, Slack, Quip, etc)
• Have Mac experience, Linux experience is a bonus
• Are proficient with one or more scripting languages (Bash, Python, etc)
• Have a strong focus on security and promoting security best practices

The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows

• $91,000 - $203,500 
• Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Meter’s equity plan.

The salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this job in the Bay Area. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors such as your skills, qualifications and experience.
