- Oversee all accounting operations including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, general ledger, and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) requirements, and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and contract requirements.
- Manage indirect cost rate calculations and submissions (e.g., provisional billing rates, incurred cost submissions).
- Support internal and external audits including DCAA audits, financial statement audits, and other regulatory reviews.
- Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
- Oversee contract pricing, revenue recognition, and project/job cost accounting.
- Collaborate with executive leadership on financial planning, risk management, and strategic initiatives.
- Ensure systems, controls, and processes are efficient and support scalability and compliance.
- Evaluate and implement accounting software and systems enhancements; experience with Deltek Costpoint, Unanet, or similar ERP systems is preferred.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, ensuring ongoing professional development and performance management.
