Associate Software Engineer

About the role

As an Associate Software Engineer, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of software solutions under the guidance of senior engineers. Your role will involve assisting in implementing features, fixing issues, and learning programming best practices to support the team’s objectives. You will collaborate with colleagues to understand project requirements, deliver structured code, and participate in code reviews to improve code quality and absorb feedback. You will support testing and debugging processes to ensure software reliability while learning to work with cloud-based tools, APIs, and frameworks.

This role is based in Madrid in a hybrid remote setup.

What will you be doing?

• Developing software components under the supervision of senior engineers, adhering to functional requirements.
• Write clean, maintainable code following team guidelines and company best practices.
• Participate in software testing processes, identify bugs, and assist in resolving issues.
• Contribute to the development of cloud-based API components and microservices with guidance from senior engineers.
• Seek technical guidance and feedback from senior team members to improve coding and problem-solving skills.
• Follow team priorities and contribute to task completion within established timelines.
• Solve well-defined technical problems with support from experienced engineers.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments, such as product teams to ensure alignment with project goals.
• Communicate openly with team members and stakeholders, asking questions to clarify requirements.
• Actively participate in team discussions and knowledge-sharing activities.
• Learn from code reviews and feedback to improve technical proficiency.
• Share knowledge with peers through documentation or informal discussions.
• Communicate openly with local and remote team members under guidance.
• Focus on learning new technologies and tools to expand technical capabilities.

• Problem-solving skills for troubleshooting well-defined technical issues.
• English at a communicative level.
