- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider certification from the American Heart Association.
- Registered Nurse licensure as required for the applicable work location.
- Advanced Life Support certification from the American Heart Association, or one of Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course, Neonatal Resuscitation Program, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Trauma Nursing Core Course, or Neonatal Resuscitation Program Essentials.

- Contribute to the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice, evaluate personal practice, and maintain current knowledge and competence.
- Communicate effectively in all areas of practice and collaborate with the patient, family, and interprofessional team.
- Use clinical inquiry and integrate the best evidence into practice.
- Apply evidence-based practice and scientific knowledge in healthcare to critical care nursing practice, ensuring care is based on age-specific and clinical needs.
- Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
