Requirements
  • A high school diploma combined with an Associate’s Degree, a Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent field experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret project drawings and specifications.
  • Understanding of scheduling and cost analysis.
  • Proficiency in computer and tablet use.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam and the capability to learn new industry-specific software applications.
  • Ability to organize work and manage time by prioritizing tasks.
  • Analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact and collaborate with coworkers, clients, and outside vendors.
  • First Aid, CPR, and AED training with appropriate certifications maintained.
  • A minimum of OSHA-30 certification; OSHA-40 certification is required for work performed in New York.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical tasks involving bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, climbing, and crawling.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions and travel significant distances during the workday.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise, manage, and coordinate all field construction activities to complete projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and to expected quality standards.
  • Conduct day-to-day operations from the field and occasionally from main or satellite offices for meetings and training.
  • Promote and maintain a safe project site and monitor and enforce the company safety program in accordance with company policies and federal, state, and local laws.
  • Provide operational support during preconstruction, construction, and closeout phases.
  • Coordinate and review field installations for compliance with project documents, legal requirements, and quality standards.
  • Understand contract documents, including drawings, specifications, and addenda.
  • Coordinate submittal and request-for-information responses and document revisions to ensure work follows current documents and directives.
  • Coordinate all trades, including owner’s trades as appropriate, while maintaining production, efficiency, and project schedules.
  • Provide weekly lookahead schedules for the Project Manager.
  • Verify that required permits and licenses are obtained and posted on site and coordinate and direct required inspections.
  • Document project activities through daily reports, safety reports, quality-control reports, and required company forms; obtain equivalent daily documentation from subcontractors.
  • Maintain as-built record drawings, including trade as-builts, for the final closeout package.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships on and off the site and promote positive project morale.
  • Assist with environmentally responsible and sustainable construction.
  • Perform physical labor and other strenuous tasks as necessary for successful project completion.
