Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience across editorial, brand, or narrative writing, ideally with bylines at recognized publications or experience writing for major brands.
  • A portfolio reflecting strong social concepting and strategic thinking, not just execution; applicants must apply with a portfolio.
  • Deep culture and content fluency, with a clear sense of what resonates and why.
  • Strong short-form and long-form writing and scripting skills.
  • Experience working across social platforms, with an understanding of how tone and format shift by channel.
  • Comfort with Figma and Google Slides for deck and concept presentations.
  • Flexibility and resilience under fast, high-pressure timelines.
  • A genuine point of view, especially around telling stories that do not always get told.
Responsibilities
  • Concept and write across short- and long-form social content, from quick-turn copy to fuller scripts and narrative pieces.
  • Translate cultural moments and trends into original, on-brand ideas.
  • Partner with creative and strategy teams to shape voice, tone, and storytelling direction across platforms.
  • Write and edit scripts for video and social-first content.
  • Bring a strong editorial eye and point of view to every piece, ensuring the work feels culturally sharp and relevant.
  • Move easily between platforms, adjusting tone and format as needed.
  • Work efficiently under fast turnaround timelines without losing quality or voice.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience writing for major publications alongside brand-side narrative or creative strategy work.
  • Experience amplifying untold stories or bringing a distinct point of view to brand storytelling.

In the US alone, there was a 90% increase in the number of freelancers between 2020 and 2023. We are not talking about one-time gigs: some 4.6 million individuals are making a viable salary of over $100,000 as independent freelancers.But while the number of individuals choosing to be self-employed rather than employed full-time has grown at a constant rate, corporate adoption has lagged.The interest is there. 65% of executives in 2023 planned to increase their reliance on external workers.
