Requirements
  • A minimum of a master’s degree in a relevant discipline (Economics, Agribusiness, Agric Economics, Statistics, etc.)
  • At least ten (10) years of experience in evaluation management, qualitative data collection and analysis.
  • At least 10 years’ experience in program evaluation of donor funded development programs in agriculture and agribusiness in developing countries. Priority will be given to those who have evaluated programs of a similar nature.
  • S/he must have experience in conducting evaluations and designing performance evaluations as well as the ability to produce highly quality evaluation reports in English and French.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in economic growth interventions in West Africa, with a preference for experience with regional dynamics and a knowledge of the current context.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and implementation of all evaluation activities, including the evaluation plan, research design, data collection instruments and administration, reporting, international field work, data analysis, draft and final evaluation report, and briefing(s) to USAID and other stakeholders.
  • Manage remote data collection.
  • Oversee quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis, executed in collaboration with other team members.
  • Produce high-quality deliverables, integrating and interpreting qualitative and quantitative findings.
  • Ensure quality control methods in a consistent and transparent manner for all contracted tasks and functions. Ensure compliance with USAID rules, regulations and policies while meeting evaluation targets.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with the client, USAID.
