Requirements
  • Hands-on experience with scheduling, written and verbal communication, and general construction practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams.
  • High-level problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize short- and long-term project objectives and make decisions accordingly.
  • Outstanding relationship skills and a team-oriented, collaborative work ethic.
  • Ability to work within a flexible schedule.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Availability to report to the Hauppauge office on all workdays not scheduled at jobsites.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Responsibilities
  • Manage project timelines and budgets while creating and implementing technical solutions and construction methods based on design concepts and visual information.
  • Lead onsite project management for greater New York-area jobs.
  • Complete daily progress reports covering crew attendance, photos, and completion metrics for each active field job.
  • Conduct site visits for greater New York-area jobs as needed.
  • Travel out of market when nationwide project-management bandwidth is limited.
  • Accompany clients, building departments, and fire marshals on walkthroughs to inspect installations, confirm code compliance and client requirements, and obtain project sign-off.
  • Oversee project preparation at the Hauppauge warehouse, including tools, hardware, materials, and other equipment.
  • Assist with local project planning, schedules, and logistics.
  • Ensure crews attend safety orientations, remain current on safety requirements, follow safety regulations, and use proper personal protective equipment.
  • Manage job-specific purchasing and procurement.
  • Assist the warehouse manager with creating and verifying bills of lading for inbound and outbound materials.
  • Assist with project cost estimates in collaboration with the sales team.
  • Coordinate and review technical drawings with the CAD department and project foreman before onsite work.
  • Coordinate and review detailed assembly and installation drawings with the project foreman for the installation crew before load-in.
  • Communicate with management and the warehouse team to maintain shop production and logistics schedules alongside onsite project work.
  • Work with department heads and subcontractors to meet budget and scheduling goals.
  • Communicate with clients, management, and sales staff during project build and strike phases to align progress, milestones, and deadlines.
  • Manage onsite changes to project scope and report budgetary or staffing implications to management.
  • Track and report project costs against budget and assemble post-mortem project reports.
  • Report to the Director of Operations and Vice President.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous industry experience in scaffolding, construction, technical theater, or scenic fabrication.
  • Bilingual communication ability.
