- A minimum of two years of experience in patent docketing and prosecution administration
- State-approved accredited paralegal certification or five years of paralegal experience
- A bachelor's degree, or a post-secondary program with law-related coursework
- A minimum of two years of experience in patent docketing and prosecution administration
- Proficiency in legal terminology and electronic databases, including the USPTO's systems
- Experience in managing IP records and generating docket reports
- Extensive knowledge of patent filing and review

- Process invention disclosures from initial submission through consideration by in-house attorneys, overseeing two separate technical domains, to final disposition
- Process invention disclosure materials
- Manage invention disclosures in online management systems (Orbit and Foundation IP)
- Communicate with inventors regarding invention disclosures and invention submission process steps
- Prepare for and facilitate conducting invention disclosure review meetings
- Process results of invention disclosure review meeting summary, including assigning disclosures to third party IP firms and follow up with firms on any additional instructions
- Assist inventors in navigating the invention disclosure process
- Assist in other miscellaneous patent-related tasks
- Provide support to the Japan based invention review members with non-published patent documents
- Knowledgeable regarding intellectual property (IP) asset management tools (e.g., Foundation IP and Orbit)
- Knowledgeable regarding office software (e.g., Microsoft Office suite)
- Able to adapt to change and learn new systems or processes
- Familiar with the intricacies of the IP asset procurement process
- Proactive in offloading work from the in-house attorney such that the attorney spends more time on higher-value IP development tasks
- Able to identify creative ways to improve the IP capture and development process
- Dependable, competent, trustworthy, self-motivated, and efficient
