Requirements
  • Minimum of a 2-year degree in Business, Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Energy Studies, Energy Systems, Energy Efficiency, Energy Management, IT, Political Science, or other relevant field and 1+ years of experience OR in lieu of a degree, 3+ years of experience in the gas equipment, HVAC, or refrigeration trades will be considered.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check.
  • Work or academic experience in Energy Efficiency or Business.
  • Customer-service oriented attitude.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Products. Experience with a customer relations management (CRM) tool and databases is a plus.
  • Comfort with public speaking.
Responsibilities
  • Outreach to new and existing customers.
  • Supporting key customers during project planning regarding applicable rebates.
  • Outreach to new and existing service providers.
  • Tracking and reporting outreach outcomes.
  • Conducting market research.
  • Outreach to existing and potential service providers / trade allies to drive submission of rebate applications.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Maryland and Virginia service providers/ trade allies, contractors, distributors and industry associations.
  • Identify and attend industry events, including expos, trade shows, counter days, etc. to represent the utility rebate programs.
  • Coach and train service providers / trade allies and internal support team members on best practices, application processes, and technical subject matter.
  • Be a resource to the service provider community, helping manage simple IT Issues, answer questions, and assist with rebate application management.
  • Create and deliver Service Provider trainings for 100+ attendees; host and manage multiple webinar-based platforms; organize and provide metrics specific to training. Coordinate with the Marketing team around development of messaging and resources.
  • Support the reporting team to assemble and provide reports, presentations, and database management using many MS Office programs and industry-specific software tools.
  • Stay informed on industry news, updates, and trends.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with and knowledge of energy efficiency, or commercial gas technologies.
  • Experience working in or managing a trade ally/service provider network.
  • Experience working in or around the trades.
