Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or above
  • 5+ years' of engineering design and analysis experience
  • Experience with design of mechanisms and robotics
  • Experience in structural and functional analysis of such systems
  • Advanced CAD skills in NX, both in modeling and drawings
  • Understanding of GD&T and spatial tolerancing on digital measurement systems
  • Communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment, engaging interfacing systems and understanding their requirements to be able to make well informed decisions
Responsibilities
  • Design of mechanisms handling casks and port plugs
  • Support vendor selection, sourcing, fabrication, and commissioning
  • Develop technical specifications and assembly procedures
  • Work closely with design team and maintain contact with vendors
  • Enforce observance of required quality standards
  • Support procurement in preparation and execution of manufacturing contracts
  • Travel to vendors to review progress and resolve issues
  • Offer insight and creative ideas about designed features
