Requirements
  • Have 10-15 years of experience with enterprise design in a Consulting environment
  • Ability to drive business development conversations on design led delivery and its values
  • Strong understanding of the NA/EMEA market for design consulting and how it contributes to revenue
  • The ability to drive projects across a range of business problems, user needs and solutions, incorporating a full spectrum of modern digital technologies
  • Proven ability to facilitate conversations with a diverse group of stakeholders, and provide a productive, collaborative experience
  • Ability to coach and mentor Design teams
  • A passion for what others might call 'blue sky' solutions that can be brought to realization
  • Proficiency in information architecture, design methods and artifacts, such as interaction flows, taxonomies, flow diagrams, mental models, content inventories, wireframes, etc
  • Familiarity with lean and agile approaches to creating software, and a desire to learn and improve
  • Experience working with teams using state-of-the-art UI technologies such as React, Angular or Vue.js
  • Have thorough knowledge of competitive and cutting-edge application UIs on the web today, and familiarity with digital technologies such as AI/ML/Blockchain, big data
  • Willing to travel ~25% of the time based on business needs and priorities
Responsibilities
  • Own the full UX process from product strategy through user research, prototyping, and visual design as we develop solutions tailored to our customer's business objectives
  • Collaborate with Practice Director to evolve Guidewire's design-led delivery approach and drive consistency in the UX practice within Professional Services
  • UX Architects will drive the evolution of User Experience for our customers as they drive Digital Transformation within their organizations
  • Provide advisory support to clients and be a point of escalation on design related queries
  • Working independently but also collaboratively with fellow designers and researchers
  • Building bridges between different functions (e.g., product management, engineering, technical writers, services, etc.) to define and prioritize problems to be solved and requirements
  • Identify commonly occurring user experience patterns that could be turned into products or accelerators
  • Planning and running workshops and design sprints to engage with internal stakeholders and customers
  • Applying design principles to map out complex processes and journeys involving multiple personas
  • Iterating design, developing design solutions from requirements, incorporating feedback from stakeholders, and applying analytics and user research findings
  • Crafting and specifying the user interface to production quality
  • Working collaboratively with Business (BA) and Development teams to drive out designs that align to Business Objectives and are technically feasible
