Requirements
  • 10+ years of developing software products and managing software teams
  • Proven experience sourcing, hiring, and growing a software development team
  • Understanding of up-to-date software engineering tools and processes (git, CI/CD, GCP, JIRA)
  • Broad knowledge of design patterns necessary for highly scalable, distributed architecture
  • Experience building and managing a data team, preferably with hybrid data engineers and analysts
  • Experience building a data platform, with experience in tooling and services such as Airflow, Spark, Flink, Beam, dbt, Dataflow, BigQuery, Tableau, Looker, or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience in data modeling, ELT/ETL, and improving data quality
Responsibilities
  • Drive the execution and delivery of product features by collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Lead key engineering initiatives to improve overall engineering effectiveness and productivity
  • Iteratively define and refine development processes and engineering best practices as teams grow
  • Recruit, challenge, and reward high-performing software engineers and technical leads
  • Be a trusted partner for senior management to determine the best solutions, help drive alignment and implement decisions throughout your team
