Job Title: Principal Technical Trainer

Location: Herndon, VA/Hybrid

Summary:

• Conducts technical training courses for customers and/or employees in the use of complex situations for multiple products. Interacts with customer and functional organizations to develop specifications for content of courses.

• Prepares lesson plans from engineering documentation, field service requirements or software documentation.

• Works with engineering, technical support, and manufacturing to ensure that course material reflects current product features. Instructs participants in both classroom lectures and laboratory sessions.

• Follows up to determine applicability of course material.

• Works with engineering, technical support and manufacturing to ensure that course material reflects current product features. Instructs participants in both classroom lectures and laboratory sessions.

• Follows up to determine applicability of course material. Developing professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues. Full use and application of standard principles, theories, concepts and techniques.

• Provides resolution to an assortment of problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.

• Builds productive internal/external working relationships. Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments; work is reviewed for accuracy and overall adequacy.

• Contributes to the fulfillment of projects and organizational objectives.

Requirements:

• 7+ years demonstrated experience designing and delivering instructor-led technical training (virtual and/or in-person)

• General enterprise data and networking technical proficiency with cybersecurity proficiency desired

• Proficiency with remote training tools (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Webex, etc.)

• Experience working in Linux environments and with common shell commands

• Comfortable setting up and maintaining virtualized lab environments (e.g., AWS Cloud, VM workstations, custom sandbox environments)

• Ability to adjust content and delivery style to different technical proficiency levels and customer provided feedback

Additional Job Description

• Willing to travel up to 20%.

• Security Clearance preferred but not required

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is:

$135,200.00-173,099.00 USD

The actual salary offered may vary within the range based on a candidates' unique experience, locale, and business needs. In addition to a base salary and bonus plans, Everfox offers a generous benefits package including flexible PTO, a 401k match, and contribution to healthcare coverages.
