Requirements
  • 3+ years in B2B sales, ideally selling accounting, CFO, finance, or other adjacent professional services. We will also consider a diverse background of B2B products and services in lieu of financial services experience.
  • Proven success in both new business and expansion/renewal sales — you know how to grow accounts as well as land them.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for client or industry events.
Responsibilities
  • Lead consultative conversations with founders, accountants, and finance leaders to uncover their goals and challenges.
  • Manage the full sales cycle — from qualification to proposal to close — with precision and follow-through.
  • Collaborate with internal finance and accounting teams to scope accurate, customized engagements.
  • Identify and support renewal and expansion opportunities within existing client relationships.
  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets through consistent, relationship-driven performance.
  • Maintain clear, accurate pipeline visibility in HubSpot, ensuring timely updates and proactive follow-up.
  • Generate new opportunities through outreach, community engagement, and partnerships within the startup and accounting ecosystems.
  • Represent Graphite at select events, building relationships and identifying prospects.
  • Contribute to ongoing improvement of sales processes and playbooks, sharing insights to help refine our approach.
Desired Qualifications
  • Deep understanding of the financial services industry (client facing accounting, tax, and finance services) highly preferred.
  • Experience working in HubSpot (highly preferred) or other CRM tools to manage a structured sales process.
  • A passion for startups and an understanding of their unique challenges and opportunities is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills — you lead with curiosity and insight.
  • Strong organization and time management; able to juggle multiple priorities and maintain momentum across deals.
  • Comfort in a startup environment where agility, adaptability, and initiative are key.

Graphite Financial Receives Strategic Investment From Red Iron Group

Graphite Financial, a New York-based outsourced strategic finance and accounting company, received an investment from Red Iron Group.The amount of the deal was not disclosed.The company intends to use the funds to further expand its service portfolio with financial reporting, planning and analytics capabilities.Led by Paul Bianco, Founder and CEO, Graphite Financial is an outsourced strategic finance and accounting partner for early-stage and growth-stage businesses. Core services include bookkeeping, accounting, strategic finance and CFO-level advisory services to high-growth companies across sectors including SaaS, eCommerce, Web3, Fintech, Healthcare, Education, CPG, and Manufacturing. In connection with this announcement, Red Iron and Graphite also announced its acquisition of CPM Advisory Group, with CPM’s business to be combined with Graphite.
