Defense Technology Leader
Key Role:
Tackle complex mission and technical challenges, including the application of engineering, management, and advanced analytics principles in support of the pursuit and delivery of complex, large-scale technology and mission programs. Play a key role envisioning and executing a strategic roadmap that crosses multiple market verticals and business domains. Work closely with government clients, mission experts, senior technical experts, and others in related technical disciplines to broadly define solutions to key client mission needs. Maintain responsibility for shaping strategic initiatives, evaluating emerging technologies, developing repeatable solutions that scale across multiple market verticals, and forming and leading cross-disciplinary teams and strategic partnerships in alignment with broader business strategies and goals. Lead highly technical growth efforts, including solution architecture, client interaction, proposal development, and pricing. Build cross-functional teams of IT professionals and mentor team members on how to enhance their technical skills and build a big picture perspective about different components of a technology solution and how they fit together. Promote Booz Allen brand awareness and provide mission and technical thought leadership by participating in conferences as a guest speaker, appearing in media interviews and panel discussions, and authoring articles for publication.
Basic Qualifications:
15+ years of experience leading technology strategy efforts and architecting, developing, and delivering advanced analytics solutions for government or commercial clients
10+ years of experience leading complex programs delivering a wide variety of technologies, including agile software engineering, AI/ML, big data, cyber, cloud, and IT infrastructure and operations
Experience with mentoring, developing, and managing highly productive leaders and a team that can win new business, developing engineering solutions, and leading large-scale, complex captures and proposals in a DoD environment.
Experience performing strategic assessments of new and current technologies and conducting background research to evaluate and select best-fit technologies
Experience designing and implementing technology solutions and architectures
Experience managing teams of professionals in engineering, cyber, and data science disciplines
Ability to communicate effectively across internal and external organizations up to the C-Suite level
Ability to obtain a security clearance
Bachelor’s degree
Additional Qualifications:
Experience as a consultant in the U.S. federal government market
Experience with commercial consulting
Experience developing product roadmaps and IT roadmaps
Experience with public speaking at industry conferences or events
Experience leading the development of solutions for large federal bids
Knowledge of the federal bid and proposal process
Top Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree in CS, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $139,400.00 to $259,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
