Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • One year or more of experience using metalworking tools is required.
  • High levels of organizational and time-management skills are required.

Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints and layout drawings.
  • Lay out device locations on stainless-steel and mild-steel enclosures.
  • Use a plasma cutter, jigsaw, grinder, drills, and hole saws to make cutouts for devices.
  • Use hand and power tools to lay out, measure, drill, and tap steel plates.
  • Install DIN rail, wire duct, equipment, terminal blocks, and nameplates.
  • Ensure project quality is within specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Perform tasks within the quoted hours for each project.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to ensure project schedules and timelines are met.
  • Perform customer-site work as needed.

Panelmatic designs and builds custom electrical control panels, power distribution systems, and integrated control houses for heavy industrial and high-reliability applications. It offers turnkey services from design and engineering through manufacturing and field support, with in-house engineering, fabrication, and testing to control timelines and quality. Its product lineup includes low- and medium-voltage switchgear, relay protection and control panels, modular power distribution centers, remote instrument enclosures, and fully integrated modular control houses, including E-Houses and data center solutions. Now owned by Neos Partners, Panelmatic is expanding into modular data centers and new markets while focusing on reliability in harsh environments and compliance with NEC/UL specifications.

Nominations open for annual Excellence in Manufacturing Award. September 08, 2026 The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber and MAGNET are seeking nominations for the Chamber's 10th annual Excellence in Manufacturing Award, which recognizes a Valley manufacturer for excellence in longevity, growth and product or workforce innovation and achievement. Eligible manufacturers must be located in Columbiana, Mahoning or Trumbull counties and be a member of the Regional Chamber or Columbiana Area Chamber of Commerce. Companies are encouraged to self-nominate. Past recipients of the Excellence in Manufacturing Award are Boardman Molded Products, Haltec Corporation, Quality Switch, Panelmatic Building Solutions, Commercial Metal Forming, Schaefer Equipment, a Division of Wabtec Corporation, Millwood Inc., HYNES Industries and Redex Industries, maker of Udderly Smooth. Nominations are due Wednesday, Sept. 30. Submit your nomination here. The Regional Chamber and MAGNET will present the award during the Chamber's Economic Forecast breakfast Thursday, Nov. 5, from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at Eastwood Event Centre, 5555 Youngstown Warren Road, Niles.
