Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years electrical, mechanical, engineering, or industrial power construction project management work experience focusing on complex facility infrastructure construction, renovations, retrofits, upgrades, building controls and automation, and energy services.
  • Journeyman’s Electricians License.
  • Additional specialized courses, certifications are a plus.
  • Basic computer skills including e-mail and data entry using Microsoft Outlook, Word, & Excel.
  • Valid Drivers' License issued by state of residence and in good standing.
  • Ability to pass government background check.
Responsibilities
  • Recognize safety hazards and follows safety guidelines for personal protection, protection of fellow workers and the protection of the public.
  • Read and interpret instruction manuals, blueprints and control system drawings; applies knowledge to daily tasks.
  • Complete written and electronic records (i.e. work orders, calibration sheets, timecards, material requests) required to document the work in progress and as it is completed.
  • Repair, test, troubleshoot, inspect; and install, remove, and maintain solar site equipment such as solar panels, inverters, transformers, breakers, switchgear, and SCADA equipment.
  • Breakdown and repair of instrument and electrical equipment.
  • Use test equipment associated with I&E work such as multi meters, loop simulators, multifunction calibrators etc.
  • Troubleshoot equipment by utilizing the appropriate software to communicate with the plants PLC systems.
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining the preventive maintenance programs for instrumentation, electrical, and mechanical equipment.
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining spare parts inventory for instrumentation, electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Work with vendors to solve equipment problems.
  • Troubleshoot instrumentation and process issues.
  • May supervise any contract maintenance of electrical, instrumentation or mechanical equipment that is required.
  • Housekeeping in maintenance shop and in areas where maintenance is performed.
  • Perform other duties as required.
