What believers are saying

  • Family Express launched its first modularized store in Ligonier on October 14, 2025.
  • The company planned four new stores before year-end 2025, signaling strong near-term expansion.
  • Top Workplaces awards in October 2025 strengthen recruiting and retention in a labor-tight market.

What critics are saying

  • $100 million Indiana rollout concentrates capital in one state and one format.
  • Competing convenience chains can copy modular builds and food-led store economics quickly.
  • If new-store openings slip, the 50th-anniversary growth narrative loses investor and employee credibility.

What makes Family Express unique

  • Family Express is Indiana-owned, operating a differentiated local convenience brand since 1975.
  • Its 7,200-square-foot modular masonry prototype accelerates store builds and standardizes execution.
  • The brand combines food service courts, car washes, and pet washes into destination sites.
