Responsibilities
  • Ensure timely completion of the lease close process and lease reconciliations.
  • Prepare complex monthly reconciliations and journal entries to ensure the completeness and accuracy of financial statements.
  • Pre-review abstracted financial data for new, modified, and existing leases in CoStar.
  • Pre-review amortization schedules created in CoStar.
  • Pre-review standard journals recording asset and liability adjustments from CoStar amortization schedules.
  • Pre-review sundry invoices for sublease income.
  • Pre-review the listing of all leases for corporate filing requirements.
  • Prepare complex real-estate-related cost entries, including service charges, utilities, business rates, and dilapidations.
  • Pre-review quarterly gross-ups for equipment asset and liability adjustments.
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors and ensure compliance with relevant local regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with lease-related SOX narratives and control documentation.
  • Participate in a self-testing program to identify and remediate control gaps before audits.
  • Identify and implement changes that generate efficiencies and foster continuous improvement.
  • Optimize existing Oracle, CoStar, and BlackLine systems and identify new technology opportunities.
  • Deliver internal key performance indicators and customer-focused service-level agreements for lease accounting services.
