What will I be doing?

Design and build backend services and APIs using .NET (C#) that power real-time operations, data management and reporting.
Write efficient LINQ queries and use Entity Framework thoughtfully to keep the platform fast under heavy load.
Leverage Redis strategically to reduce database load
Maintain and modernize backend systems, balancing shipping new features with refactoring older code, reducing technical debt, and keeping the platform performant and stable.
Drive quality through code reviews, share feedback, and help elevate engineering standards across the team
Be autonomous and adaptable, thriving in a changing development process, adjust to evolving priorities, and find creative ways to deliver value quickly.
Communicate openly, share progress, surface blockers early, and work transparently in a remote-first environment.

Would I be a good match for this role?

5+ years of web development experience
3+ years of experience using .NET (C#)
Proficiency with Entity Framework, LINQ and MySQL
Experience with Redis and SignalR
Comfortable using AI coding tools with critical judgement
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity working in a startup environment
Flexible with the development process flow
Critical thinker who can run autonomously
A low-ego, team-first mentality and are not afraid to take risks.
Able to execute on objectives with high level direction and minimal supervision.

Experience with MQTT, OpenSearch or AWS S3
Experience integrating SSO solutions
Experience with ArcGIS
Experience with Angular 18+ and .NET 8+
Experience with real time video streaming protocols (WebRTC, RTSP, HLS)
