Anduril is unhappy that it did not land spots in both portions of a $1.5 billion Homeland Security Department contract for counter-unmanned aircraft systems. The company won a position as one of the comprehensive service providers in track two, but did not receive an award in track one for hardware/software and ancillary services. Anduril is challenging DHS' evaluation of its proposal and argues that it should have received awards for both tracks of the five-year C-UAS vehicle, awarded earlier this month. Track one winners are BAE Systems, CACI International, Dedreone Defense, D-Fend Solutions, EMS Defense Technologies, Fortem Technologies and Leidos. Anduril's competitors in track two are Astrion, BAE, Booz Allen Hamilton, General Dynamics IT, Leidos and Parsons Corp. DHS received 57 offers for track one and 47 for track two. Bidders could pursue both tracks if they wanted to. Anduril filed its protest on Aug. 12. A Government Accountability Office decision is due by Nov. 20.
Leidos reported strong second-quarter results, beating analyst estimates across key metrics. Revenue reached $4.56 billion, up 7.2% year-on-year and surpassing expectations by 2.6%. Adjusted earnings per share of $3.26 beat forecasts by 12.1%. CEO Thomas Bell highlighted robust demand in the Defence segment, which posted a 2.2 book-to-bill ratio. The company raised its full-year revenue guidance to $18.3 billion and lifted adjusted EPS guidance to $12.35 at the midpoint. During the earnings call, analysts probed several areas. Questions focused on government in-sourcing impacts on the MHS GENESIS programme, Health segment margin expectations amid suspended incentive payments, and free cash flow growth drivers. CFO Chris Cage emphasised strong cash performance and ongoing efficiency projects. Management pointed to maturing programmes and new fixed-price contracts supporting future margin expansion.
Army-Navy Cup XV to return to Subaru Park on October 9, 2026. Philadelphia Union announced on Aug. 7 that Army-Navy Cup XV, presented by Leidos, will take place at Subaru Park on Friday, October 9, 2026. The event is part of a new multi-year extension with the Army West Point Athletic Association, the Naval Academy Athletic Association, and Leidos that will keep the collegiate soccer event at Subaru Park through at least 2030. Now in its fifteenth year, Army-Navy Cup has become a prominent annual college soccer event and a key non-Union fixture at Subaru Park. The upcoming edition will feature an Army-Navy doubleheader: the women's match begins at 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time followed by the men's match at 7:00 p.m., both as Patriot League contests within the traditional rivalry. Tickets are expected to go on sale in mid-August. "Army-Navy Cup has become one of the most meaningful and prestigious events we host at Subaru Park, and extending this partnership through at least 2030 is a tremendous point of pride for the Philadelphia Union," said Philadelphia Union President Tim McDermott. "We are grateful to Army West Point, the U.S. Naval Academy, Leidos and all of the partners who worked together to create the path forward for this event. Army-Navy Cup represents so much of what makes sports special. It is a privilege for our club to continue providing a world-class stage for this rivalry." The first Army-Navy Cup was held in 2012 after being created by Philadelphia Union, which functions as a professional soccer team in Major League Soccer focused on representing Philadelphia while fostering fan involvement and community ties, according to the official website. Last year's doubleheader drew over 11,000 fans - a record attendance - with Army West Point winning the men's match and both women's teams playing to a draw. Tom Thodorakis, Director of Athletics at Army West Point, said: "The Army-Navy Cup has grown into one of the best events in all of college soccer, and we're excited to continue our partnership with the Philadelphia Union and Subaru Park for the next five years... Leidos Holdings reported second-quarter 2026 results with revenue reaching $4.56 billion, though GAAP net income and earnings per share declined year-on-year. The company raised its full-year 2026 revenue outlook to $18.20–$18.40 billion. Leidos secured several new defence and intelligence contracts, including hypersonic missile tracking payloads and AI and ISR support work. The AMDT3 missile tracking award with Sierra Space reinforces the company's focus on space sensing and onboard processing capabilities. The firm maintained its dividend and authorised a new 20 million-share repurchase programme. Leidos' investment case centres on sustained US national security and digital modernisation spending, though the company faces exposure risk to federal budget shifts. Analysts project revenue reaching $20.3 billion by 2029, requiring 5.4% annual growth.
Leidos reported second-quarter revenues of $4.6 billion, up 7% year-over-year, driven by increased demand for defence technology products and energy solutions. The company posted net income of $356 million, or $2.81 per diluted share. Non-GAAP diluted earnings per share rose 2% to $3.26. Adjusted EBITDA reached $631 million with a 13.8% margin. Cash flows from operations totalled $793 million, whilst non-GAAP free cash flow was $761 million. The company secured $5 billion in contract awards during the quarter, including key defence and healthcare contracts. Leidos raised its full-year 2026 guidance, now projecting revenues of $18.20 billion to $18.40 billion and non-GAAP diluted earnings per share of $12.20 to $12.50.
