Responsibilities
  • Manage consumer inquiries in person or by telephone and convert them into admissions, as appropriate.
  • Serve as the face of the facility and manage marketing events, including open houses, lunches, and community activities.
  • Lead facility tours for potential residents and community members.
  • Maintain close contact with local physicians, social service departments, hospital discharge planners, governmental agencies, bank trust officers, lawyers, clergy, industrial health programs, insurance carriers, health maintenance organizations, and other professionals or groups that may influence inquiries.
  • Visit residents in the hospital or home before transfer.
  • Coordinate all resident admissions.
  • Assist in obtaining resident medical information from hospitals, doctors' offices, and other sources.
  • Assist families and residents in understanding facility policies and procedures.
Desired Qualifications
  • A degree in health care management, medical social work, or marketing.
  • Exposure to and understanding of the health delivery system and medical vocabulary, with a background or interest in sales.
  • Exposure to and understanding of geriatric residents.
  • An established network in the area.
